As part of the continuous improvement requirement for Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) certification and Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accreditation, the Office of Assessment and Accreditation for the College of Education is unceasing in its goal to ensure that faculty and students are engaged with the most recent standards and competencies, and that faculty members have the data they need to review course content and make program changes, if necessary

The Teacher Education Program has had continuous accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Educators (NCATE) since the mid-1980s and currently has eight programs approved by the Department of Education. We are proud that many of our graduates have been nominated for prestigious Teacher of the Year Awards at various school districts.

On July 1, 2013, NCATE merged with the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC), and became the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
