Student Success Center

The Student Success Center (SSC) provides academic resources, referrals, and services to Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) sophomores, juniors and seniors. Our team of Student Success Coaches is committed to assisting students in their personal and professional development as they matriculate towards the completion of their college degree. The SSC offers academic advisement to students with at least 28 earned college credits, counseling to students who are in academic distress, early alert monitoring, success workshops, and one-on-one tutoring in courses. In addition, the SSC serves as the main hub on campus in connecting students to academic resources and services.

At B-CU, Success Coaches provide students with the opportunity to build relationships between faculty, staff and their peers for the purpose of planning their educational career, learning the skills needed for academic success, and learning how to access the resources and services that are available to them on the B-CU campus. Resources and services include, but are not limited to:

Academic  and career advising is a collaborative educational process whereby students are partners in meeting and ensuring academic, personal, and career goals. This partnership requires proactive participation and involvement by both parties and is built over the student’s entire educational career at B-CU. Both parties have clear responsibilities for ensuring that this partnership is successful.
