Dr. Tashna Felix
Bethune-Cookman University 2003 graduate, Dr. Tashna Felix, was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica and later migrated to Miami, Florida.
After graduating from McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida, she attended B-CU and received a BA in Psychology.
After working one year as a case manager in Volusia County, Dr. Felix knew she wanted to do more to help the mental health population. She went on to complete a five-year doctoral program at the American School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2009.
Dr. Felix is now the owner and director of Professional Psychological Services, a mental health private practice located outside of the Washington, D.C. metro area. She is licensed as a psychologist in Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Florida. She is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment provider and qualified to provide adult and juvenile forensic evaluations in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C.
Dr. Felix is a member of American Psychological Association (APA), Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ), Virginia Juvenile Justice Association (VJJA), Virginia Sex Offender Association (VSOTA), Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), and National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC).
