The School of Hospitality Management Hosted Its 7th Annual Industry Day

hospitalitymanagement

Dr. Bob Billingslea and Dean Williams-Bryant welcomed Dr. Sean Rogers as its guest speaker for the 7th Annual Hospitality Management Industry Day. Rogers, a native of Inglewood, California and an Assistant Professor of Employment Relations, Human Resources, and Law in The Hotel School at Cornell University, was the events keynote speaker. The event featured a morning reception hosted by hospitality students, William Webb and Celina Forte; and networking opportunities with guest presenters.

Additionally, students heard encouraging remarks from Dr. Bob Billingslea, who is a retired Disney Executive and significant forerunner in cultivating the hospitality management programs. His efforts have made a tremendous impact on the development of executive leaders in the hospitality industry. The hospitality management industry day consisted of several break out sessions for the students and focused on event planning, various avenues of hospitality, technology, and career opportunities.

This annual event was a great opportunity for both students and the visiting companies. As the day progressed, students participated in a Q&A session and received feedback from industry partners.
