Bethune-Cookman University Partners with RICOH to Provide Enhancements to Wildcat Print and Mail Center

In a move to provide expanded service options, greater convenience and additional auxiliary revenue, B-CU has partnered with RICOH print and copy solutions. Business Affairs and Student Affairs worked collaboratively to ensure a seamless implementation from the renovation of the space to the transition of B-CU employees to RICOH employees.

Among the services now provided on-site at the Wildcat Print and Mail Center will be an improved mail experience for students. Students will receive an email alert when they have a letter or parcel. Secure pickup is ensured as packages are barcoded according to the student’s identification card. This system will also result in reduced wait times - no more long lines - packages can be picked up in less than two minutes! Outbound shipping, mailing, stamps and USPS services are also now available.

Faculty and staff will benefit from on-site printing and binding, the ability to produce brochures, posters, banners and the availability of several finishing options for reports, pamphlets and the like. Greater brand standardization is also a plus.

“Overall, faculty, staff and students can expect more streamlined and efficient customer service,” said Jacqueline Dowdy, associate vice president, Business Operations & Auxiliary Services. “A pricing and billing structure has been implemented so that we are adding to our profit margin and improving our bottom line. From a procurement perspective, we are also eliminating waste and reducing the need to stockpile items like copy paper. This transformation of what was once the mail room is aligned with best practices in higher education today."

Be sure to visit the Wildcat Print and Mail Center Open House to learn more and meet the team. Light refreshments will be served.
