Former Wildcat Athletes Stand Out in Pro Leagues
As football season gears up, here’s an update of B-CU alumni currently playing professionally:
Ryan Davis signed with the Los Angeles Rams. This is his fourth pro team, having started with the Jacksonville Jaguars before stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. Davis will begin his seventh season in the NFL.
Jawill Davis is an undrafted free agent battling for a spot on the New York Giants’ roster, but the team has high hopes for him, with some comparing him to former Giants' star Victor Cruz.
Three Wildcats are in the Canadian Football League – Larry Brihm, Jr. is a third-string quarterback for the Calgary Stampeders while Dariusz Bladek is in his second season as a lineman for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Philip Norman is on the practice squad for the British Columbia Lions.
Quentin Williams just completed a season overseas playing quarterback/wide receiver for the Hamburg Huskies of the German Football League.
Former Bethune-Cookman University basketball standout Alexander Starling took home the Australia Premier League's Woollacott Medal, MVP, and All-Star Five Award at the Stamford Grand Adelaide Ballroom. Starling was a force on the glass for the North Adelaide Rockets in Australia.
TT Toliver was a member of the Arena Bowl champions Washington Valor. Toliver is the Arena Football League’s all-time leader in receptions (1,258) and receiving yards (16,488). Toliver is the first player to win a Super Bowl and an ArenaBowl in the same year.
