Mass Communications Major Lands Coveted Summer Internship at WFTV/WRDQ Channel 9
Alysha Hinton, a vibrant lead soprano for B-CU Concert Chorale, is best known for her operatic voice. The junior communications major has, even more, to sing about – she landed an internship with WFTV /WRDQ Channel 9 in Orlando, Florida. The opportunity sprang from an internship challenge hosted by Cox Media Group where students were asked to build their brand through self-discovery in order to find their career direction. Alysha was selected for the 2018 summer opportunity. "Cox Media Group is proud to partner with Bethune-Cookman University and thrilled to help support all students who have the drive and desire to one day work in our industry," said Jennifer Bromiley, national sales manager, WRDQ Cox Media Group. Experiential learning broadens students' learning and skills.
