The Office of Marketing and Communications is the approved and designated point of contact for official University news. As the point of contact for all media outlets, we ask that you contact us for official statements and other pertinent information.

Policies for News/Media Outlets

The Office of Marketing and Communications staff is tasked with professionally representing Bethune-Cookman University. We are committed to responding to requests for information promptly and courteously. We ask our media partners to extend the same professional courtesy.

We request that all media inquiries, including quotes, statements, and interview requests relating to Bethune-Cookman University, come to the Office of Communications & Marketing. We will happily coordinate with appropriate parties when necessary.

For the safety of our students, faculty, and staff, Bethune-Cookman is a closed campus. If you would like to visit our campus or obtain footage, we require external media to make an appointment with our office. While we will strive to accommodate your request, we reserve the right to decline media visits.

Emergency Situations

If an emergency should occur at Bethune-Cookman University, the Office of Marketing and Communications will provide information to the news/media outlets in a timely manner and designate a spokesperson who will provide details as they become available for release. During such a time, media may have limited access to the campus and may be restricted to certain areas of the campus.
