In support of the University’s mission, the Office of Emergency Management aims to prevent the loss of life and property by preparing for, militating against, responding to, and recovering from significantly challenging events that negatively impact the well-being of students, faculty, staff and the University’s Legacy or the continuity of operations.


To create a culture of emergency preparedness and response across the campus community through education, training and technology.

Operational Summary

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, all hazards emergency management plan to protect students, faculty and staff, visitors and university infrastructure.

The department prepares adequate plans and procedures to prepare for, mitigate against, respond to, and recover from large scale crises or disasters. Our efforts protect life, enhance the campus living, learning and working environment. In addition we seek to resume normal operations as quickly as possible following any major disaster or large scale emergency. The department offers annual training exercises, safety drills and campus and community outreach.  The department aims to effectively communicate to the campus community in emergent situations through the university’s mass notification system (E2 Campus) and the Wildcat Safe Application. 

Emergency Notification Enrollment

In a continuous effort to ensure the safety and security of our campus, it is imperative to reiterate the important of enrolling in our e2 Campus Emergency Alert System and downloading the ‘Wildcat SAFE’ App.

To sign-up for these services, please follow these steps below:


e2 Campus Emergency Alert System Enrollment

  1. Visit the E2 Campus Alerts.
  2. Create a user name and password for your account.
  3. Choose “STULIFE” within the Options Group Section.
  4. Select Create Account and Validate your account using SMS or Email.

NOTE: For all Students, Faculty, or Staff previously enrolled for e2, the system requires a new enrollment every 2 years to continue receiving alerts.

Wildcat SAFE App Download 

  1. Go to your App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Find your Search Button/Bar
  3. Search for Wildcat SAFE
  4. When the App comes up press "Get" for iPhone or "Install" for Android

Once the App has downloaded open it and select "OK" for Notifications.
