B-CU’s Interim President Grimes Volusia County’s Martin Luther King, Jr. 50th Annual Celebration Keynote Speaker
Volusia Community Remembers the Dream and Vision of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
B-CU Interim President Hubert Grimes will be the keynote speaker for the MLK Deland 50th Annual Celebration Breakfast on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 9 a.m., located on the campus of Stetson University; 421 N. Woodland Boulevard in DeLand, Florida.
Thereafter a march, led by Interim President Grimes, will begin at 11 a.m. from Stetson University and will culminate at Earl Brown Park, 750 South Alabama Avenue; Deland, Florida.
Also participating will be three churches: Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, South Ormond Neighborhood Center and Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
The MLK 50th Celebration is a commemorative weekend from January 13th-15th with a slate of events that are free and open to the public:
