Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will Visit B-CU to Give "The State of a Dream," Keynote Address
Daytona Beach, FL- Saturday, January 13th at 7 p.m., Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will visit the campus of Bethune-Cookman University where he will give the keynote address, "The State of the Dream," honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Volusia County MLK 50th Annual Celebration. Dr. Dyson is a Georgetown University sociology professor, New York Times contributing opinion writer, contributing editor of The New Republic, and to ESPN's The Undefeated website. His latest book, "Tears We Cannot Stop," was recently named one of "The 7 Best Books of January" according to Mens' Journal. The commemorative event will be held in the Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center located at 698 W. International Speedway Boulevard; Daytona Beach, FL. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
