"Unmask Your Potential:" Bob Billingslea School of Hospitality Management Hosts Annual Industry Day March 28
All disciplines are invited to attend the Bob Billingslea School of Hospitality Management Eighth Annual Industry Day on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 ,from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the President’s Banquet Room of the Michael & Libby Johnson Center for Civic Engagement at Bethune-Cookman University.
The themed event, “Unmask Your True Potential,” will feature keynote speaker Dr. James Arthur Williams, an assistant professor and motivational speaker from the University of Tennessee's hospitality and tourism program. Williams is the author of “From Thug to Scholar.”
Industry Day is sponsored by Sodexo; other supporting companies are Chicken Salad Chicken Foundation, Enterprise, Hard Rock Hotel, Hyatt, Miller’s Ale House, NASCAR, and Waffle House.
The central goal of the Hospitality Industry Day conference is to provide students with meaningful experiences that will enhance their academic and career readiness.
The conference and career connection is an event planned by the current students under the leadership of faculty. It offers students an opportunity to practice their skills in event and meeting planning, in addition to learning more about the organizations, careers pathways and networking opportunities, which will eventually lead to lucrative careers in the industry.
