B-CU Department of Campus Safety Hosts Self Defense Courses
The Department of Campus Safety promotes a safe and secure higher education environment and works to build relationships and partnerships to identify and recommend solutions for improving the quality of life on campus. Campus Safety is an integral part of campus life and has recently hosted a series of self-defense workshops for students at the Michael and Libby Johnson Center for Civic Engagement. More than 100 students have attended this fall over a two-day period.
The workshop focused on important survival tips including being aware of one's surroundings, eliminating distractions like headphones and texting while walking and walking in groups and well-lit areas. For more information, contact B-CU Campus Safety at (386) 481-2900.
