The #ILEAVEYOULOVE campaign is designed to reach a large demographic of our supporters. The campaign is founded on the words found in Dr. Mary McLeod-Bethune’s Last Will and Testament, “I leave you love.” She has left more than just love, she has left brick and mortar and to this day, this institution has prepared generations of students to depart to serve, thus continuing the legacy of this great American woman and fulfilling the call of her Last Will and Testament.
The funds generated from this campaign will help cover costs for students who may need financial assistance to continue their education here at B-CU. This assistance may cover balances, books, housing or a late-night snack during midterms and finals when the cafe is closed.
Your 12-month recurring or a one-time gift of $250, $100, $50 or $25 will help us reach our goal of $2.5 million dollars.
This student-led campaign is also being used as a learning tool allowing students to gain experience as fundraisers, content creators, producers, video editors, and brand ambassadors. Every communication that you see pertaining to this campaign was created and decided by our students, giving them valuable experience and metrics to demonstrate their capacities as they enter the workforce.
