Dropping Courses
- No Tuition Adjustment After Deadline
No tuition adjustment is made when a student drops a course after the final day of the Add/Drop (Late Registration) period. - Student Responsibility
Students are responsible for knowing the last day to drop courses during Late Registration in order to receive a 100% tuition adjustment for the semester. - Where to Find the Deadline

Withdrawal from the University
- Official Process Required
Withdrawing from the University is a formal process that must be completed in a specific order to avoid unnecessary expenses and/or failing grades. - Tuition Adjustment Eligibility
When a student officially withdraws from the University, a tuition refund or adjustment will be calculated, if applicable, based on University policy. - Refund Schedule Awareness
Students are strongly encouraged to review the Tuition Refund Schedule to understand potential adjustments based on withdrawal timing.
Tuition Refund Schedule
- 100 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws on or before the last day of the Late Registration Period (August 21st); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 90 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws after the last day of Late Registration (August 21st) but on or before the last day of the second week of classes (August 30th) ; Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 50 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws after the second week (August 30th) but on or before the last day of the fourth week of classes (September 13th); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 25 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws after the fourth week (September 13th) but on or before the last day of the eighth week of classes (October 11th); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
First-time students are eligible to receive a 100 percent adjustment/refund of tuition charges if they withdraw on or before the last day of the Late Registration Period (August 21st); a prorated adjustment/refund will be processed if they withdraw after the last day of Late Registration (August 21st) but on or before the last day of the tenth week of classes (October 25th). Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- 100 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws on or before the last day of the Late Registration Period (May 20th); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 90 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws after the last day of Late Registration (May 20th) but on or before the fifth day of classes (May 21st); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 50 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws after the fifth day (May 21st) but on or before the 8th day of classes (May 24th); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 25 percent of tuition charges if the student withdraws after the 8th day (May 24th) but on or before the 10th day of classes (May 26th); Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
First-time students are eligible to receive a 100 percent adjustment/refund of tuition charges if they withdraw on or before the last day of the Late Registration Period (May 20th); a prorated adjustment/refund will be processed if they withdraw after the last day of Late Registration (May 20th) but on or before the last day of the second week of classes (May 30th). Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.

- Up to 90 percent (90%) of tuition charges, if the student withdraws after the last day of Late Registration, but on or before the last day of the first week of classes. Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 50 percent (50%) of tuition charges, if the student withdraws after the first week, but on or before the last day of the second week of classes. Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Up to 25 percent (25%) of tuition charges, if the student withdraws after the second week, but on or before the last day of the third week of classes. Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
First-time students are eligible to receive a 100 percent (100%) adjustment/refund of tuition charges, if they withdraw on or before the last day of the Late Registration Period. A prorated adjustment/refund will be processed if they withdraw after the last day of Late Registration, but on or before the last day of the fourth week of classes. Room and Board charges are not refundable once a student moves into the residence hall.
- Adjustments and refunds will be processed by the Office of Student Accounts Services upon receipt of written notice of withdrawal from the student or a designated University staff member.
- For Fall and Spring semesters:;
- Returning students must submit withdrawal by the end of the eighth weekstrong> of classes.
- First-time students must submit withdrawal by the end of the tenth weekstrong> of classes.
- For Summer sessions:;
- Returning students must submit withdrawal by the end of the 10th daystrong> of classes.
- First-time students must submit withdrawal by the end of the second weekstrong> of classes.
Non-Refundable Conditions
No adjustments or refunds will be issued for tuition, fees, room and board, institutional charges, waived charges, bookstore charges, late registration fees, housing assessment fees, or fines under the following conditions:
- Withdrawal due to disciplinary action, resulting in forfeiture of all rights and payments made toward assessed charges.
- Suspension of University operations due to circumstances beyond institutional control (e.g., acts of God, strikes, riots, or other disruptions).
Eligible Exceptions for 100% Adjustment/Refund
Students who withdraw after the Late Registration Period may be eligible for a 100% adjustment/refund of tuition and room & board charges (excluding bookstore charges, fines, and fees) under the following circumstances:
- Involuntary call to active military duty
- Death of the student or an immediate family member (parent, spouse, child, or sibling).
- Course cancellation by the University
- Exceptional circumstances, subject to approval by the University President or designee
Any student who withdraws due to a severe illness, verified by a physician and preventing completion of the semester, will incur a prorated tuition charge calculated from the first day of classes through the approved withdrawal date.
